Privacy Notice on the Protection and Processing of Personal Data (KVKK Disclosure Text)

The National Mold Manufacturers Association (UKUB) hereby provides fundamental information regarding the protection of personal data transmitted to us. UKUB fulfills its disclosure obligation under Article 10 of the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK") by presenting the following explanations to our members and third parties using our website and/or mobile applications. UKUB reserves the right to update this Personal Data Protection Disclosure Text at any time in accordance with changes in applicable legislation.

As the National Mold Manufacturers Association, we process the personal data obtained from our valued members, taking into account issues related to the privacy of private life, within the scope defined below and in accordance with the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK"). UKUB acts as the Data Controller and explains below the scope and manner in which your personal data may be processed.

  • I. How and for What Legal Reason Do We Collect Your Personal Data?
    Your personal data include all kinds of information and documents, including special categories of personal data (such as name, surname, identity information, date of birth, mobile phone number, email, address, IP address, IPI number, education status, region of residence, etc.) that you have provided to us in writing, verbally, or electronically during or after your membership application. This data is processed and stored physically and digitally by UKUB with the consent of our members and within the provisions of applicable legislation. Your personal data may be processed and transferred domestically and internationally with real and legal persons listed in this Disclosure Text, in line with the principles set forth by KVKK and the purposes stated in Articles 5 and 6 of the Law. UKUB will collect, process, share with third parties, and securely store your data solely for the purposes stated in this disclosure and for the provision of better services and legal obligations.
  • II. For What Purposes Do We Process Your Personal Data?
    Your personal data are processed by UKUB within the framework of the membership agreement and applicable legislation to: • Verify identity and record necessary contact information to fulfill our obligations and exercise our rights, • Conduct activities within the legal framework of UKUB,
    • Communicate with members and provide necessary information,
    • Carry out all necessary membership procedures,
    • Organize and maintain records and documents in electronic or paper form,
    • Analyze data anonymously for statistical purposes to improve services,
    • Inform members about requested services,
    • Evaluate member complaints and suggestions,
    • Manage applications and mobile applications,
    • Ensure security and protection of personal data,
    • Perform backup to prevent data loss,
    • Send electronic communications according to the law,
    • Provide information to public authorities if requested and required by law,
    • Fulfill legal obligations and other purposes specified by KVKK.
  • III. To Whom and For What Purposes Do We Transfer Your Personal Data?
    Your personal data is shared with third parties only with your consent and as a rule, personal data is not transferred to third parties without approval (except among members). However, due to legal obligations, personal data may be shared with courts and public institutions. Additionally, personal data may be transferred to contracted third parties for the provision and control of services. Necessary technical and legal measures are taken to prevent rights violations during data transfer. UKUB is not responsible for violations occurring due to the third party’s data protection policies or risks under their responsibility. Your personal data collected under Articles I and II are processed and shared domestically and internationally with UKUB’s business partners and third parties involved in marketing activities within the scope of this Disclosure Text.
  • IV. How Does UKUB Protect Your Personal Data?
    Personal data shared with UKUB is under the supervision and control of UKUB. UKUB is responsible as the data controller to establish necessary organization, implement, and adapt technical measures to protect confidentiality and integrity of the data in accordance with relevant legislation.
  • V. What Are Your Rights Under Article 11 of KVKK?
    As the data subject, you have the right to:
    • Learn whether your personal data is processed,
    • Request information if your data has been processed,
    • Learn the purpose of processing and whether your data is used accordingly,
    • Know third parties within or outside the country to whom your data is transferred,
    • Request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data and notify third parties,
    • Request deletion or destruction of data when processing conditions no longer apply and notify third parties,
    • Object to automatic processing leading to negative consequences,
    • Request compensation for damages due to unlawful processing.
  • VI. How Long Will Your Personal Data Be Processed?
    Your personal data processed for purposes stated in this Disclosure Text will be deleted, destroyed, or anonymized once the purpose ceases to exist, in accordance with Article 7/f.1 of KVKK.
  • VII. Processing of Personal Data Collected Before the Effective Date of KVKK Personal data obtained legally before April 7, 2016, are processed and stored in compliance with this Disclosure Text and KVKK.
  • VIII. Cases Where UKUB Can Process Your Personal Data Without Explicit Consent:
    Under Article 5 of KVKK, UKUB may process your personal data without explicit consent in cases such as fulfilling legal obligations, public disclosure by you, sharing among members, establishment, use or protection of a right, and legitimate interests without harming fundamental rights and freedoms.
  • IX. How Can You Stay Informed About Changes to Personal Data Legislation?
    UKUB will update this Disclosure Text on its website to comply with new legislation and ensure that members can follow changes easily.
  • X. How to Ensure Your Data Is Accurate and Up-to-Date?
    UKUB is obligated to keep your personal data accurate and up-to-date. Members are requested to provide current data and notify any changes through specified contact channels.
